Now let’s take a look at whats inside and I have recommended some yarn pairings from the shelves of Knit With Attitude.

Bada by Soumine Kim – I like this take on a cabled jumper. The all over cables are disrupted in the middle by changing direction. This simple idea really adds character to this design. With a drop shoulder construction and a split hem that is longer at the back. It’s knit with two different fluffs held together a DK and a Lace. I initially thought two strands of Soft Fuzz held together but I’m leaning towards something that has more structure. So Hillesvåg Tinde and Cumulus it is.

Éimi by Simone Ryan – Cables appear in this tweedy cardigan. With raglan shaping and a relaxed fit it is knit from the top down. With a full length opening that can be buttoned up right to the neckline or worn slightly unbuttoned for a more cooler fit. A classic cable twist alternated with rib. For that tweedy look it has to be Pickles Tjukk Merino Tweed.

Gilly by Anne-Michelle Phelan – This quirky vest has a simple shape but it is all in the crisp details. The i-cord edging gives it a smart well finished look. The unusual pocket shapes also add character to the minimal look. It is knit in a bouclé yarn held with a 4ply. I think the bouclé yarns we stock are just a little too thick for this. So I would try Soft fuzz held with Vivacious 4ply instead for a similar fuzzy look.

Hanano by Yuka Takahashi – These neat socks are knit from the top down. Starting with a folded cuff and then moving on to a rib with tiny twisted stitches. A heel flap and gusset construction. For crisp stitches a go to reliable sock yarn is Coopknits Socks Yeah.

Jutland by Alma Bali – A beautiful all over texture covers this light floaty top. Contrast eyelet ribbons are knit and highlight the change in direction of this interestingly constructed top. For lace it has to be Fyberspates Gleem Lace and for the contrast colour as you don’t need much I would go for G-uld No.4.

Never Too Late – by Irina Shaar. This top is all about the lace panel that is worked down the front. It is heightened by the wide neck and deep neck band. It’s also the small details in this design like the lace that runs down the raglan seam. Knit from the top down in the round in a silk held with a mohair. The lovely silk blend of Fyberspates Scrumptious held with the fluff of Fyberspates Cumulus would be perfect.

Paint a Forest by Sanni Pauliina – Similar vibes to the one above this jumper features a central panel but this one is more graphic with twisted stitches. A simple drop shoulder shape that is knit from the top down. Something woolly and rustic is calling out to me for this like the Hillesvåg Tinde.

Semiotic by Anu Ahoniemi – This fun colourwork jumper features an array of little motifs, some resemble letters and others are more abstract. The variation of the design makes it engaging but not as full on as some colourwork patterns can be. Knit from the top down in the round with a yoked neck construction. As soon as I saw this I was hoping it would be made in a 4ply and it is. Pickles Pure Wool would be perfect especially because it has a really nice black and white.

Silent Breeze by Ronja Hakalehto – This chunky cardigan has a minimal look but a super cosy vibe. Finished with i-cord edges, which I’m really liking as a feature in this issue. Simple toggle closures replace a traditional button band. A great piece for layering up. A combination of the heavy Hillesvåg Troll and Fyberspates Cumulus would be great. You could use Hillesvåg Blåne instead of the Troll if you want some colour.

Sixty-Five by Alice Caetano – A fun combination of both colour and texture in this top down top. Alternating stripes and corrugated ribbing go all the way down to the hem. I like that the hem edges have no ribbing. I think that the sport weight Pickles Sommerull would be a good choice for this.

Trustfall by Melanie Berg – Four colours are used in this long triangular shawl. It features a combination of relaxing garter stitch and simple but striking mosaic knitting. Knit from point to longest edge. The variegated tones of Fyberspates Vivacious 4ply would look dreamy.

Waveform by Julia Wilkens. I love this super cool wrap. It’s simple but very effective. Knit end to end the chevrons are created by the clever use of increases and decreases while maintaining the squared shape. It’s knit in a light lace weight yarn so Hélène Magnússon Gillitrut would be perfect.
