Virtual Knit Night January 9th

The letters on my hand – PUST – is the Norwegian word for breathe, breath, breeze and pause. After a personal crisis last year I realised I’d completely forgotten how to, and so I had this done to remind me, daily. This year, however, also brought a non-voluntarily pause as I woke up on New Years Eve with the ear infection from h*ll. It is funny isn’t it how your body just says STOP – you’ve been burning both sides of the candle for too long – so if you won’t stop it simply will make you.

Uncomfortable and painful as an ear infection is, I still feel that this forced break was necessary, mindless Netflixing and knitting to the rescue – I don’t think I’ve knitted as many stitches in such a short time in ages! There truly is something in the saying ‘holding on to your needles’ when things don’t turn out quite as planned.

Today I’m back in the shop, and for me the New Year truly begins today. And what can be more wonderful than to kick it off with you guys. I’m really excited to show you the results of my efforts on the sofa the last week, and to see all the progress on your holiday knits. Bear in mind my ear is still blocked so I might not hear you – but I can’t wait to see you!

The details are the same as always, we are on from 7pm to 8.30pm UK time, you’ll find the link to join below, and you can drop in at any point.

Our next virtual knit night will be Thursday February 13th 2025.
