be my baby mittens (link to Ravelry) by Katja Dyrberg // Popknit. These mittens look super cosy in the bouclé yarn. A simple shape knit on 6mm needles. They are knit in the round and fully embrace the texture of the yarn. The cuffs are knit in a regular DK yarn to give the ribbing a bit of structure and stability. I would knit these in the cuddly Pickles Teddy paired with Pickles Mjuk for the cuffs.
Arrowwood Headband (link to Ravelry) by Lindsey Faciane. There is nothing quicker or cuter to knit than a headband and they make great gifts for friends with long hair or anyone who wants to rock a groovy piece of headwear. Knit as a long strip and then seamed together its a great way of using a lace motif over a small area. I would knit this in the oh so soft Pickles Cozy.
Cozy Toesies (link to Ravelry) by Lisa Chemery. The thought of knitting socks too much, why not try slippers. Even better are slippers knit in a heavier yarn. Thes are done on 6mm needles. You start by working the sole flat and then pick up to knit in the round for the rest of the foot. The fold over cuff contains some elastic to give a good grip and hold them on. Knit them in the sturdy and warm Hillesvåg Blåne.
Balabonnet (link to Ravelry) by Simone bergh. Is the balaclava craze still going? Well this design combines a balaclava and a bonnet making it super simple to make. It’s knit from the top down and is finished with a cute bow to tie. Knit in two strands of a fluffy yarn held together. Go for Pickles Big Fuzz.
Star Ornament (link to Ravelry) by Adella Dutra. This free pattern for a little Christmas tree ornament would make a really cute gift. Knit from the outside in you could make these in lots of different sizes simply by adjusting your yarn and needle size. I would try them in Pickles Cozy for a cute light and floaty little star.
Basic Chunky Socks (link to Ravelry) by Caroline Montague. If you are thinking of knitting socks then go chunky and simple like these. Knit in the round from the top down they make ideal bed socks or heavy socks for boots. A sturdy yarn like Hillesvåg Blåne would be great for these.
PALET (link to Ravelry) by Woolfolk Design Team. Knit in the round from the bottom up this chic beret would make a very stylish present. It is knit on 6mm needs as well so would be fairly quick to knit. You could knit it in Pickles Big Fuzz for a fluffy version of Pickles Tjukk for a soft drapey version.
Bauble Mitts (link to Ravelry) by The Lamb & Kid Designs. Nothing is quicker than fingerless mitts. These ones are knit flat and seamed leaving a hole for the thumb so they are beginner friendly as well. Wouldn’t they just be lush in Pickles Cozy.
MinishawlClub #5 FlowerTie by Hinterm Stein. The little scarf trend is riding high at the moment so why not incorporate one into your gift knitting. This one has a cute little flower motif texture. Knit on 6mm needles you could use Pickles Tjukk.
