It has been a little while since my last recommended yarn post so I thought it was an about time I had another look through what has come out since the last one.

If you haven’t seen the recommended yarn posts before the theme is to look at designs that have been written exactly for the yarns that we stock. We are often asked to substitute yarns for patterns but for these you don’t have to. Choose your favourite and knit them up as written. You can catch up with the Recommended Yarn posts here: First Edition Part One and Part Two, Second Edition Part One and Part Two. With this post like the others I have just looked at what is new. There are constantly new designs being published so this post looks at the designs published between the Second Edition and now. There is a lot to fit in this blog post so I have split it into two again, all pattern links link to Ravelry.com.

Soft Serve Cap by Lisa Woolridge. This cute little hat is great for kids with its pointy elf style crown and little pompom. It’s also a perfect one ball project.

&Make Aran is a blend of super soft alpaca and strong Highland wool. A fabulously soft and squishy yarn.

Riptide Slipover by Jennifer Shiels Toland. Knit from the top down this stylish cropped tanktop/vest features pleasing textures. With textured lace panel along the front and back and broken rib panels on the sides and hem.

&Make DK is a wool, alpaca and linen blend, soft and great for garments and accessories, the touch of linen makes this a great springtime or autumn yarn.

Fingerless in broken rib by Sofia Otterbeck. These simple stretchy mittens feature an all over texture of broken rib and they only take one ball of &Make DK.

Daedalus DK Socks by Kelly Menzies. These intricate looking socks are actually surprisingly simple. Knit using the mosaic technique which means only one colour is knit per row and slipping the contrast colour when you need it.

Coopknits Socks Yeah! DK like the 4ply is a great sturdy merino and nylon blend.

Bindweed Shawl by Ksenia Naidyon. Cables and bobbles cover this triangular shawl that is worked tip to tip. Richly decorated and comes in three size options.

The Fibre Co. Cumbria is a beautiful blend of merino, masham and mohair. It comes in a range of rich jewel like colours.

Winslow Cowl by Sarah Korth. Using both Cumbira Worsted and Cirro by the Fibre Co this cosy crochet cowl fades between the two textures. A beautiful combination of fibres and can be made in multiple sizes.

Rhue Sweater by Rebecca Clow. This fun colourwork jumper is knit from the top down. Featuring a big band of a colourwork. I like that you start in one colour and then after the colourwork you end in the contrast colour.

The Fibre Co. Lore is made of 100% lambswool from the Romney sheep breed also referred to locally as Kent lamb.

Soft Shores Top by Dora Creadora. This simple top has a lot of details. The stocking stitch front and back get visually narrower towards the hem which is echoed in the garter stitch side panels becoming wider.

All Together Socks by Enda Taylor. These fun socks are alive with colourwork. Worked from the cuff down these will definitely keep you entertained.

Pedal to the Heddle by Jo Shaw. Designed to look like woven fabric these textural socks are knit cuff down with classic heel flap construction.

Fyberspates Vivacious 4ply I love Vivacious, the colours are so lovely. Hand dyed variegated yarns on a soft superwash merino base.
