What is this dreamy colourwork shawl that has captured everyones imaginations? Well it’s the Scout Shawl by Florence Spurling.
This shawl is colourwork heaven! It has a vintage patchwork vibe about it, like an heirloom quilt handed down through the generations. Every inch of this design is covered in different motifs. Geometrics, zig-zags and flower forms are knit in a combination of Fair Isle and intarsia. Knitted sideways from tip to tip this long narrow shape is great for wrapping around your neck without too much bulk. A great sampler for having fun with colours. It is knit in five different colours; a light neutral paired with two sets of lighter and darker contrasting colours. If you are having trouble picking your colours then we have some kit ideas for you.
