We are delighted to take part in this autumns’ beautiful fairytale – Mithral – a knit-a-long brought to you by designer Carol Feller of Stolen Stitches in collaboration with Fyberspates. Carol has hosted a sweater KAL every September for the last few years, and this year she has changed things up and invited yarn shops to join in.
Lightweight and warm, Mithral is a wonderful sweater for cooler weather when you don’t want extra bulk. Knit from the top down with set-in short row sleeves. The gentle a-line in a simple lace flowing from below the empire waist flatters most body shapes. Choose from several different neck styles for your perfect sweater!
Swatching starts September 1st – this means that you can purchase the pattern code right here through us – or at the Mithral Pattern Ravelry page. We are offering a 10% discount on the Cumulus yarn for anyone who participates in the KAL – this is applied automatically when buying the yarn and pattern code from us. If you have bought your code elsewhere (for instance on the Mithral Pattern Ravelry page) please contact us when you are ready to make your purchase and we’ll provide you with the discount.
The pattern code is used to log in on the Mithral Pattern Ravelry page, you will then receive the first sweater pattern information pdf and also the pdf of the additional Mithral hat pattern – which is great for swatching.
Cast On is October 1st – with the release of the first KAL clue. The KAL consists of a series of 4 clues, with one released every 2 weeks. Each clue contains the next part of the pattern, a section on modification tips, and links to online tutorials for any tricky sections.
There will be chats and pattern support from the designer on the Mithral Forum Ravelry page, where you can also post your finished project to enter for prizes!
